London Calling

It’s been quite a month!

The start of a new chapter in a new city- London.

The London Eye

London, where there is a place for all, with its crip and cold embrace, welcomed me on a rather windy September evening.

Does a new place mean a ‘new me’? Not sure but waiting to find out. I look at new chapters in life as an opportunity to start afresh, with a blank slate if you will. There’s something daunting yet exciting about the new and unexplored- whether they are places or us, ourselves.

Spot the double rainbow! Hyde Park Corner

The glamour and magnetic pull of an overly fantasized city like London has artistic inspiration in every corner but it is very easy to get eclipsed by the sudden gloom that sets in because of the ever-changing weather.

Beauty in every corner... Spotted a flower shop in South Kensington

Explore. Experience. Enliven.

As one Minds the Gap while commuting, I can’t help but reflect on the countless stories hidden within the faces of people travelling with me. Each day is a new opportunity to soak in the vibrancy of this city as I make my way through the corridors of my university to the next lecture or through narrow lanes in bustling street markets.

As the temperature drops and the icy wind caresses my face, there is nothing better to curl up with a good book or in the company of friends who have made this new transition feel so welcoming for me.

London, a city of contrasts promises to be the perfect stage for my next chapter.
